If I'm not mistaken, I picked this item as one of the free things I received during a promotion. 
The specific store I purchased through does not sell this item any longer, so I will be naming some alternative stores with the exact same product.

 I am one of those people who can never have enough flashlights or enough weapons. On average, you won't find another store that beats Temu when it comes to survival gear. They have some really quality things for cheap. Yes, I'm aware those two words aren't usually put together, but I have some reviews I am so excited to share coming up in the survival category that we will be getting to very soon. 

But today, the topic is this hybrid gadget. This won't be a super long review, as it is a pretty simple, straightforward product

Anyway, when you pick out free items as part of promotions, you can't always get all the product details. There is one big aspect to this product I wasn't aware of, that is disappointing. I'll tell you what that is and all the other tea.

This item is a flashlight, self-defense baton, and emergency window breaker. It is about 14 inches long and shaped like a small bat.  The edges of the "barrel," are grooved with a rough texture, and there are two separate flashlights. The LED flashlight at the top has 3 modes, and the COB light on the side has one mode. At the bottom of the item is a pointed metal window breaker, potentially also for self-defense.

Performance:
This item is made out of an ABS plastic material, and thus will not perform as well overall compared to something made of metal. The short length is good for close confines but is very light overall. The window breaker is functional, and both flashlights are pleasantly bright.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

A fun fact about me is that I used to keep a rusty hatchet underneath the driver's seat of my car, and came close to needing it a few times. Nowadays, I just keep a 9mm in the car. However, I understand that some states frown on that and that some people may not be able to or may not want to carry a firearm. Products like this are good for a variety of reasons. I frequently hike in the wilderness alone, and this item works great for that purpose.

It's about the perfect size to keep in my car. But, I can't seem to get over the fact that it is ABS plastic and not metal. Since I purchased through a promotion, I did not see that detail, although the first seller I listed above states very clearly the material used.
Regardless, it would work very well for the purpose of escaping my car or beating someone's hands away from the car window.

My 9-year-old loves it. He is always worried about the large predators when we're camping. He feels better walking off to pee with this thing in hand. The flashlights both work very well, and keep battery life better than anticipated. 

Since the glass breaker is so convex and pointy it could be used, in addition, for self-defense purposes.
I believe that the texture on the bat portion is meant to disperse force, which may prevent it from breaking.

My fiance and I both believe that if you truly had to use this to defend yourself it would work. But by the end of the encounter, this thing may be possibly smashed to bits, or at the very least the flashlight on the top would cease to operate.

  • must get in close contact to use as self-defense tool.

RECOMMENDED?

Despite this being made of plastic, I would recommend the product. If nothing else, the flashlights are great and the battery lasts very well. Overall, this is a good tool for automotive emergencies, camping, or outdoor uses.
I would not recommend paying more than 10$ for this item.
